The NatureFest is our annual fundraising event of the year. All of our funding comes from private donations and grants administered by Parks and Trials New York with funding from the NYS DEC Environmental Protection Fund.
The funds generated by the NatureFest represent 25% of our total budget. The money is used to support our mission in providing environmental education, events and stewardship. Because we are 100% volunteer, we have minimal overhead expenses, (i.e. insurance), and are able to turn pennies in dollars of value.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant hardship to everyone. We are profoundly grateful to the businesses and individuals who have been able to support us through these difficult times. We also know that working together we are stronger and will continue to grow and engage the community.
